IEDC Launches New Resource Website: Restore Your Economy

Every company, no matter the industry, has been impacted by the pandemic. Some industries were hit harder with storefront closures, workforce shortages, or worse, going out of business. This current economic state seems overwhelming. However, organizations have united their resources to help one another out and to restore prosperity.

We are thrilled to showcase a newly designed supporting website for the International Economic Development Council: Restore Your Economy. This site is designed to be a one-stop-shop chalked full of resources for economic development organizations all over the country. This directory website is an incredible value-add for IEDC members, and for other organizations searching for credible resources. Organizations can stay up-to-date on information for economic recovery from COVID-19 to natural disasters. 

Let’s take a look at some of the features on this site and congratulate IEDC and its supportive partners, the U.S. Economic Development Administration, and IEDC’s Economic Development Research Partners program, on an incredible new resource for members.

Navigation

• This site contains a main and secondary navigation menu. When users hover over the categories, the secondary menu has a shaded dropdown menu with additional web pages on the site.
• The site search bar is also an important feature on this site. Visitors can easily search for content by typing it into the search bar.
• The footer navigation also contains quick links to all of the pages on the site and a way for people to sign up to receive more information. 

Design

• This site was built out using 立博客户端app下载 Freedom’s Website Software, and the pages are built using listers for users to easily scroll through and access the content.
• The homepage features the most recent news, resources, the phases of disaster, and volunteer information.

Featured Web Pages 

• On the Recent News web page, visitors can search from a dropdown of various categories or search by keyword. 
• There is a Templates page on the site where organizations can download a website template for sharing COVID-19 resources and updates, along with a survey template for asking businesses how they have been affected by the pandemic.
• The Leadership in Time of Crisis Toolkit web page gives leaders a robust recovery process.
• IEDC is assisting in getting volunteers to communities that have recently been impacted by a natural disaster. Interested patrons can apply on the Volunteer web page.
